Currently in build-up status, I decided to build a C-130 honoring A/C-4704 which for a couple of years was the main workhorse of the airlift wing.  Lack of detail info plus different paint schemes may disappoint some viewers on the paint job. Next C-130 should be simple, the lone gray A/C 3946. This will be set on diorama, so, the remaining pieces still have to be built and will keep you updated.

Jep, I think it's waiting for you as well.  Ready for decals Very Happy

4704 was indeed the most often seen C130 back in the 80s.  My version is white over silver, and is damaged already...

about the color, unless my eyes deceive me, the colors, are they european lizard scheme? yun ang tama for the later scheme- i spy an OD shade which is not present in the lizard scheme...

but hanep sa interior ah, anjan ba yung marine na umebak mid air to the consternation of everyone aboard? Shocked

The olive drab was the closest color  I could compare from the reference pictures. Maybe it's the outside light playing with my eyes again. I had to use Tamiya dark green since the Testor drk green is too light. The boxes are from railroad kits (1/87) and the coolers, ice chest and backpacks are from my spares. I finished the Airfix Scorpion CVRT (part of the cargo) and still working on the grunts.  The marine was reported to be AWOL. Very Happy

for an accurate color scheme, simply follow the Euro 1 Dk Green, Euro Grey and another shade of green ( forgot what ) sa mga a/c kits with instructions na European Lizard scheme - di natin pinalitan yun...

still, you have the pattern- all you have to do now is change the colors in their appropriate areas... Shocked

Jep, what you see is the 2nd paint job for this project. The first was my stupidity to use another media for painting camo.  Never use liquid mask for big paint jobs!!!! thought it would be easy to peel off pero hindi pala (could not see it sometimes). Paid dearly, I had to use the un-glue chemical to remove paint (very good paint stripper), just be careful not to wet the bonded parts. LESSON LEARNED jeez

Spring cleaning kaya kailangan ilipat ng lugar.  Parang kulang pa sa accessories yung diorama, hopefully one of these days, I'll add some more.

Because of a accidental "crash", port wing is set a little too high.  jeez

Jetmech ... now thing like "parallel invention (idea, in this case)" do happened,,, This is my "aggaravation" the last few days...reminiscent of the "Bagong Lipunan" days... the 4704 in another "Dress Code" ( I must have been reading your mind, or vice versa)....

I never realized that the beauty is "huge" in 1/48th scale.... I'm sort of intimidated by the "seemingly" formidable size....if this came to pass she shall be dressed up in the above livery.... (the files of paper below the kit is 210mm wiodth A4 size)....

Are the coolers crew "accessories" or the troop's refresher? A very great presentation of a bird of a workhorse.... I wish I could replicate your "work of art"....

Salaam to all . . ..

Most current, transported the captured NPAs to Manila (PAF site).  Also, on the same site, the MNLF campaign in 2004 (?), when it was the only asset flying all over the archipelago.  An Australian AF site has pictures of it in Dili, Timor (2006).

Salamat, JK.  Para sa mga "assets" mo. "No air support, without ground support."

The coolers are for "inflight services" Very Happy.  Yung mga ice chest, shrimps from Panay, beef from San Jose, Mindoro Occ, fresh fish from....to take home as well as extra income.
On your C-130, do not forget the weights.  I was thinking of doing a 1/48 before, but due to limited modern accessories for diorama, I went for 1/72.  Meroon mga diecast na 1/50 scale trucks & emergency vehicles, but they're expensive and have to do major re-painting to make it look like military.

Wow jetmech! Is that the 1/48 Italeri/Testors? Good work. Hanep sa interiors. I think we should start to complete the whole C130 fleet of the AFP. What do you think.

It's really huge. I got a 1/48 and so does Tausug as you can see. Scribing the panel lines will take some time.
