finally, after finding time to relax a bit, continuing this thread:

http://timawa.net/forum/index.php?topic=6824.0

i was able to finish this project:

side view from starboard...

from the bow...

...aft...

size correlation...

first time to totally complete a 1/700 scale ship so lotsa imperfections - unlike the works of proclaimed "masters" of the hobby who have the skill, this is mediocre...but heck, the thing is i build AFP topics, from aircraft to armor, and now PN ships to fulfill what i had said and continue to say... ( second PN ship built, but the other one, an LST was of a bigger scale, hence easier to build)..

The kits is a Skywave 1/700 Cannon class kit, with PE parts interspersed; the radar is a modified SC2 -  tried to make it appear like an SPS 5 for some authenticity.

The ship is no longer in the PN inventory ( as of 15 years or so ago, twas decommissioned), but a sister ship lives on... and that is a next project...again if i have the time... Shocked

1/350 pa nga yang binili mo, eh 700 scale pa ito which is worse, a lot lot worse... hehehehe...and that kit you bought is a Buckley class DE, though there are some modifications needed so you can make it a Cannon class - other than the inherent changes ng PF11 natin... Shocked

Thanks for the compliments!

No need - the better for everyone to know that this is (AFAIK) the second model ship to have the Philippine colors hoisted in its mast displayed on the web; the first was my LT 501 BRP Laguna...

More PN ships to proudly wave the Philippine flag coming....if I have the time as usual to build them... Shocked

I hope someday I will start building my Buckley class into a Rajah Humabon.  Quite expensive when I purchased it - PHP 698.00 -  when it appeared at Special Toy Center; though it contains 2 waterline kits.

Thanks for the inspiration Mr. Jepot.  I hope that the PN will preserve the Humabon and turn into a museum ship with all the equipment intact.  It is the only Cannon class DE in active service in the whole world.
