Yup. They're Chinese as siopao. The real question is: their camos Philippine-made or is ours made in China?

The Chinese copied the camo patterns of the Philippine military because the Chinese will wear them at start of the invasion of Philippines, to decieved AFP soldiers that they(chinese)  are part of the AFP, then they will attack the Pinoy soldiers.

Obviously the Chicoms are up to something... and its targetting the country.  Whether its a full scale invasion or disrupting the growth of the country through sabotage.  Makes you think  Smile

Why in the world would China be interested in the Philippines?  So far as I know, any country worth taking over has something that an invading country wants.  And what to do when the troops signal "Mission Accomplished"?

1. While the Philippines have some natural resources, so do other countries and they have lots more.  China has been buying out scores of mining companies in Canada and other countries lately.

2.  Deforestation, overpopulation, all sorts of pollution.  Who would want to take over a country which is an environmental disaster in the making?  China already has serious environmental issues at home, why would they want more?

3.  Unstable political climate.  If Filipinos cannot even govern the Philippines properly, why would anyone else even try?

4.  The fact that there are hundreds of thousands of Filipinos abroad, and many more wanting to leave, sends a clear inference that the place "isn't worth the bones of a Pomeranian Grenadier ... oops ... I mean ... "Red Chinese Soldier".  Apologies to O. von Bismark.

Do remember that during WW2, the only reason why the Japs invaded was because the Americans were in the Philippines and they stood in the way of the oil from the Netherlands East Indies and the rubber in Malaya.  The Japs were on to bigger and better things and P.I. (as it was called then) happened to be in the way.

just to clarify, China has a huge demand for mineral resources and the Philippines ranks 5th in the world in terms of mineral resources.

and besides, never say never, never say china will not attack us. that is exactly what politicians and 'experts' said about Japan before world war 2.

just read the book 'history of the philippine army' by ricardo trota jose, and you will see the how wrong the so-called experts were in saying that japan will never attack the philippines.

lastly, war preparations always assume a worst case scenario, anything else is burying your head in the sand.

if it can happen no matter how small the probability, then better be prepared. regrets and sorrys will not only be belated but fatal.

The needs and interests of the Filipino is primary while that of foreigners is secondary.
However, some Filipinos are still uneasy about this and would rather be the apologists or defenders of foreign interests.

Our country has vast mineral and natural gas deposits, we may also have lots of oil near the border of brunei and sulu. Those alone is an invitation to invade the Philippines, and manpower is not a question too, there is already a sleeper cell of PLA here in the Philippines if you believe me, hahaha! Evil or Very Mad

Nearly all camo pattern fabric is made in China.  They offer the cheapest cost per meter.

It is possible that all AFP camo is made in China and imported before finishing in RP.

Nearly all camouflage patterns in the world are reproduced by China textile mills.  They are the cheapest cost per meter.

It is possible all AFP camo fabric is made there before being imported and finnished in the Philippines.

An excellent point.

Let's pretend for a minute the Philippines is like Indonesia with a wealth of natural resources.

What happens after the PRC "wins" the war.  It would be just like the U.S. in Iraq.    All of GMA's problems will the the problems of the PRC.   It will be a logistical nightmare for the successful invader considering that the Philippines is an archipelago with rather poor infrastructures.

Why forcibly invade a country when you could simply buy off the local hoodlums?  It would be the cheaper alternative.  I bet there will be a lot of local folks selling off their loyalties, just like they do during election time.

The Americans, the only invader who successfully controlled most of the Philippnes, owe their success to buying off the local caciques.

Kabayan,

But you are assuming that all invaders think logically and use common-sense. Did Sadam use common-sense when invaded kuwait? did he use common sense when he defied USA?

how about Japan. They knew they were going to lose the war , but they still jumped into it . thats why they did the attack on pearl harbor hoping to get an early advantage and hopefully prolong the war..

or how about Germany, they miscalculated 2 times this century-world war 1 and 2

What makes you think 100 % that China will use common-sense? ,

if all the tyrants and bully countries of the world used common sense and were reasonable, the world would not have this periodic invasions of smaller countries, but the fact is otherwise.

and by the way, China was involved in the following violent incidents so far since 1945, invasion of Tibet, korean war, vietnam war, spratly clash with vietnam in 1974 and 1988, invasion of vietnam in 1979 to help polpot regime of cambodia, incursion into india in late 1960s defeating indian army, border skirmishes with russia in 1969 along Amur River, repeated attempts to blackmail asian diplomats in Beijing by commie agents to force them to spy for china(1 japanese diplomat recently commited suicide because of this), at least 2 arms smugglings by ship for the NPA from China(M/V Karagatan and M/V Andrea), NPA cadres did receive training in China, several submarine landings in eastern luzon in 1950s(one submarine depth charged by PN in Lamon bay), mishief reef grabbing, at least 2 incidents of PLA ships training their guns on PN ships(1 was the PN LST in southchina sea, another was on besson class on supply run to South korea), at least 1 incident where PN and PLAN ships traded fire in late 1980s(incident was hushed up, and no injuries), chinese fishing boats regularly spy on palawan coastline.(numerous incidents).

Good point,

Bullies never think logically.  However I still doubt if the PRC would want to "occupy" the Philippines.  It would be insane fighting against Filipinos in a guerilla war.  Taking over Luzon would be a handful, not to mention Mindanao and the rest of the Visayas.

However, there is always that possibility of a flashpoint west of Palawan.  In fact, the PRC already occupies some small islands which the AFP appears to be unable to deal with at the present time.

Regardless, the PRC would go after Taiwan first before they set their sights on the Philippines.  Just imagine what would happen after the Taiwanese lose the fight.  They would sail or fly their remaining weaponry to the Philippines.  That would be alright by me.
