maybe jeepney manufacturers can help build these MMPVs for the Marine Corps. Wink

although I like the 106mm RR on the MMPV, just to play the devil's advocate, don't you think the jeep has an advantage over the MMPV because the jeep is smaller and has a lower silhouette??

the MMPV has advantages because it is bigger , it can carry more anti-tank ammo and carry more troops too plus you can probably add armor to the MMPV dahil malaki ang body at engine. sa tingin ko mahihirapan ng dagdagan ng armor ang jeep.

anyways, the important thing is that the marines are taking more action than words. they are improvising rather than whining and complaining.

actions speak louder than words . mabuhay sa mga marines !

The needs and interests of the Filipino is primary while that of foreigners is secondary.
However, some Filipinos are still uneasy about this and would rather be the apologists or defenders of foreign interests.

Any word if the Army is interesting in acquiring their own MMPVs?

Increasing the number of units purchased / ordered might reduce the cost of the individual unit.

What local company manufactures these vehicles?

Heard the Army adopted flatbed L300s in 4x2 for light troop transport. Also heard they are already bidding it out for procurement.

Flatbed L-300 that's a junk and a bad choices. I can more agree if they chose the 4x4 pick-up TOYOTA 2.7 L HILUX. Or the South African Samil 20 4x4.

It'll probably cost them more to customize/adapt a civilian vehicle to military use than to just buy a military-grade vehicle...
