I am sure that new submachine gun is very lethal, deadly, and high quality, but couldn't the manufacturer come up with more beautiful and sleek design?

people judge a book based on its cover not on its content.

Doesn't the Navy also use this type of gun?  I thought I saw a pic once of it.  MP's carrying floros

I may be wrong, I don't know.

I know the former ACTF and SWAG uses it though. I don't recall hearing from news articles that PNP is going to accept it since SAW 9 is going to make influence after its adoption in Cebu.

BTW, need to know if a variant of the MK-9 is the MP-9 or the MK-19? Thanks

It seems the design is very simple unlike the guns made by Indonesia.

The ones made by PT Pindad are based of the Beretta M12 SMG.

I'm doing a wikipedia entry on the Floro MK-9 SMG and I need to know if the MP-9 is a renaming of the MK-19.

Can anyone help me here? TY.

Simplicity is best, easy to maintain and the familiarity of such existing parts helps a whole lot. I wish the PNP and the AFP could help more in trying to develop more the locally made firearms.

As Opus' photo from the 2006 Independence Day celebration shows, the NSWG uses them too.  This, I believe, is a Mk 9

Why isn't the Government Arsenal endorsing this design, and opting instead for the Safariland Arms SAW9?

Is this gun still in production?

The Indonesian SMG is based on the Beretta Model 12 which is a simple blowback design (but with a wrap-around bolt).  The Floro Mk. 9 is closed-bolt with the firing mechanism of an M16.  More complicated, what with the hammer, firing pin, auto-firing sear and all.

Actually the Indonesians have a very interesting weapon that may have high export potential.

It is a police Assault Rifle using the old .30 calibre. This is the round used in the M-1 carbine of WW2 (not to be confused with the M-1 Garand in 30-06).

This calibre packs a big punch at short ranges but does not over-penetrate like a 5.56 would. It was the origiinal intemediate round between the big-mother 30-06 and the SMG .45.

I can't seem to find a picture of it anymore.
