Cadillac Cage V-150 Commando (Original Version)
According to the postings here in the board, the Philippine Marine Corps in the 1970s received four V-150.  Likewise this is semi-confirmed by MBLT.

Special thanks to Sir Jepot for providing the inspiration and reference photos for this build.  beer
Also, thanks to Oli (of IPMS-P BA) and WeekendWarrior.

This 1/35 build is a hybrid resin cast, kit-bashing and scratch-building.  Although the overall quality of the material is less than desirable, it is enough to produce a nice V-150 circa mid-1990's as photograph by Sir Jepot.  Turret is the original T-50 with six smoke launchers on each side.

Tears, Blood and Sweat... Three months of frustrations over frustations have to be overcame in building this kit...

So because this turns into another unit of the 'Campo' Ambulance conversion, I'm presenting this kit...  The decal is quite showing its film in the photo, but not so much in actual.

So 40_niner, natapos din sa wakas ano? Wonderful!  Congrats sa latest addition mo sa AFP Armor builds...

At least natapos mo decals - compare it to the V150 that i built ( mas unfinished sa dami ng projects ko nuon)...

Keep it up! BZ!

Cygnus -- I'm still a novice and still has a lot of puzzles to solve. Smile

Thanks for the comments, Sir Jepz and Sir Adz...

I think I'll take a break this weekend to rest my stiffed neck-- one of the 'hobby' hazzard  Smile.

Hello,

Congrats on the V-150 build.
Let me know when you have new images of the kit.
I can do a webpage feature on the Gallant Warriors website.

1. What kit did you start with?
2. Date first construction began?
3. Source of additional parts?
4. Modifications and scratch built parts?
5. How you made the decals.
6. Date completed.

Regards,
Frank

I like the added search light with protective grill mounted on the turret.  Bravo

wait a minute mr 40, there seems to be something lacking at the rear of the turret- an brace that will prevent the turret from inadvertently swinging a full 180 degrees:

http://timawa.net/forum/index.php/topic,291.0.html

look closely at the pics of my V150 taken 3 years ago in this thread- you will see what i mean.

Yep there is that brace to prevent the gunner from shooting off his rear.  It should deflect the barrels upward.

Sir Jep / Frank...

I don't have a clear top view photo of the turret side and I just based it on the available photos.

Sir Frank's photo here doesn't show much of it... or I just missed something?

Likewise with these Sir Jepot's pix taken at these angles :

... so I made an assumption that it would be similar with the V150S with regards to the back portion.

Nice  diaorama subject for a V150s with 1 meter turret.

Like the M4 Sherman going through the Ft. Santiago gate in WW2 during the Liberation (demolition) of Manila.

Need a source for a reasonably priced 1/35 V-100/150, though.

Hi 40 niner, I was in Marawi City in 1975.  I saw six V-150s in a column, they were overall dark olive drab with T-50 turrets, no smoke grenade launchers and no searchlights. They also had four REOs and an M113 with them.  Maybe the government purchased more than four?

Four was only for the then Philippine Marines.  PALAR (Phil Army Light Armor Regiment) at that time was the consolidated unit for the Army armor which included the M41s, V-150s, M113s and later the Scorpions and AIFVs.
