I'm wondering if they're possibly dead without any chances of being used by the AFP/PNP circa 2005?

PS - They're the weapons that use 20/30 M16 series mags.

Highly unlikely that they will ever be adopted. Reason? It is an unproven weapons platform. While IMHO it is a derivative of the AR-18 family of weapons ( i.e. piston-driven ), in its present iteration does not have yet a good record in actual real life use.

Fellow timawan Sir Barber 6 once pointed out in another thread that our front-line soldiers and marines are very conservative when it comes to infantry weapons, and are very hard to convince to transfer to another weapon system, especially unproven ones, since our present m16's work well enough. It has got to be BETTER than present systems for them to have faith in it. I think thats where it falls short.

PDW - Personal Defense Weapon

That's one reason why it will not be utilized by our Infantrymen, maybe for some other purpose other than a Standard Infantry Rifle.

***when the term PDW first became popular, I thought it meant Public Display Weapon since these are all pang porma.  nuts

I believe this PDW is not suited for AFP use, not for the cannoneers or even the guys inside working on tight spots like our armored assets. Floro, I think failed to do a little research before they manufactured this weapon. The 5.56 round is best utilized on weapons with longer barrels like the M16s or even the M4 depending on how far the target is. This ammo when fired from the an M16/M4 will fragment when the target is hit, causing massive damage to the organs of the recipient. The Floro PDW has a barrel lenght of only 200MM or about 8 inches, not long enough to give the 5.56 round enough velocity to fragment when a target is hit. I think this PDW is better off chambered to 22 cal, its no better than a 10/22 Ruger automatic.
