In the early 70's an LCM was converted into a floating clinic that serviced the Zambo- Basilan area among others.  Superseeding the USNS Mercy of over a decade ( though most likely following the idea of the SS Hope) the RPS Dakila indeed served noble missions by providing medical and dental care in its AOR...

refer to the AA battery for its relative size...

note the little jeep- TK82 had a small hold near the bow for a service jeep...

finished, with tarpaulin...

notice the jeep inside the bow, just beyond the bow ramp, port side...

enjoy...

I like the awning on the cargo deck.  I saw an awning in the stern deck of the Rajah Humabon when it docked at HPN last May.

ty...

actually PAF in 72 scale is all but finished - konti na lang di ko gawa.

armor in 72 scale, its those that dont have kits in 72 that arent built or in my arsenal ( simba, aifv, v150, lvt).

its the ships that are lacking - more so the lesser known like this latest kit...

2 more rather uncommon ships in the drawing board....

Sir Jep, telescopic ata mata nyo, galing talaga. Do you use ordinary modeling glue? I wonder how you make the decals, is it hand painted? how about the number on the sides?

sometimes  liquid glue, more often, super glue...

decals like the big cross and bow numbers are from the spares box; the ultra small red cross, well, tuldok na lang yun halos..

how are your eyes?

from bad to worse... thats why it took me so long to look for an optivisor- that i didnt use while making this baby...

Don't worry about Jepots eyes. He can beat Chuck Norris blind folded.

There's a tiny Bofors on the way.

Baka kinain na ng daga sa liit!

Seriously though, where did they admit the patients in that LCM? Just under the tarp? Must have been hot, humid and stinky. Were there fans installed?

I'm beginning to wonder if it was any different from PGH wards you use to roam around in.

based on info i got from one of the original MDs who served there, and according to the plans i got, indeed, patients were seen under the tarp- there was ostensibly even a dental section aand a lab and a mini ward- how mini, well your guess is as good as mine.

humid most likely at tabing dagat pa mandin sila; as stinky and ho as PGH wards? well if you are talking about wards 1 and 3 ( medical wards of pgh, as in summer baka nga; but the other wards, not really- malinis at maaliwalas mga wards sa PGH nung andun ako in the 90's...

most interesting sir.  thumbs up I learned another new thing about our AFP withthis thread.

saan galing yung kit na ginamit mo? especially the jeep?

I suppose the platform is an LCM 6, so that pretty much rules out a 72 scale version using the Trumpeter or Dragon LCM3.
