After a looong hiatus, finally finished ( well not really) a pending project...

modified a scoprion kit by airfix ( 1/76 scale) to look like a samaritan of the PA in the 70s ( solid OD scheme)

its not really done yet- whats wrong?? a lot so this will never win in any contest--No weathering, tracks unpainted, imperfections unfinished, but heck - the only Samaritan kit in styrene built so far here me thinks...

eat your heart out ye lord of the hobby who dreams to build a braille samaritan...

Nice one, Sir Jepot!

Yeah, door's a bit off, but as you said who cares more than the builder himself Smile.

Correct me -- the base kit was scorpion, then you modified and scratchbuilt the whole hull and detailed rear door?

Man, how small is that thing? Don't tell me it's as small as the M-4 series!

If I get you a P-51 and an M-4 that are about an inch long and half an inch tall completely built up and encased in a microscopic diorama, will you promise to paint them in AFP colors?

Hahahahaha, just kidding. Don't wanna be responsible for your accelerated presbyopia.

PN according to Manokski:
"something gray with a side number on it that floats"
PAF according to Ramon J. Farolan:
"we are now basically a helicopter fleet"
PA according to drkula
"it is better to talk forever than fight forever"

The door is partly open - the angle of the shot didnt show it, unfortunately ( no interior, over na yun)...

Yes the scorpion kit was heavily modified....

Sir Jepz,

What material did you used as base?  Also, is the track side/front protector standard for the Scorpion kit?  I haven't seen it on the 1/35 AFV Club kit... Smile

Jep, ano ginamit mo to link the tracks? I used super glue and it had a lot of problems making it stick together, actually ruined/ damaged the track  jeez(first time to encounter this).

Yeah,  I still remember the poorly detailed track that seems to be made of rubber.  A difficult kit to modify and improvise.

Here are photos of the kit:

thanks mojo...oo naka case na sila- pati yung mga 1/700 scale ships ko, mahirap maglinis eh..

super glue din - actually i had problems din nung una but eventually had managed somehow, dont really know how, to stick them and contoured pa din kahit paano..

The base is from a 1/144 abrams opus gave to me a long time ago- notice its also the base for my PS38 during the photoshoot for said model..  the front skirts are seen in many scorpions even locally in their early years.. and what you see here also came from the 1/76 scorpion kit transplanted to this samaritan kit..

Man, how small is that thing? Don't tell me it's as small as the M-4 series!

its actually smaller than the M4 shermans i built earlier...
